Dr. Synthia Chowdhury combines clinical precision with a warm, judgment-free philosophy. A champion of honest, conservative care, she treats every patient like family, recommending only the treatments you truly need.

Currently, she is integrating Sleep Dentistry into the practice to support total body health. When not serving her Columbus, OH community, Dr. Chowdhury recharges by traveling and spending quality time with her family.

Office Manager
Hi, I’m Jessica! I was practically raised in this office; my dad, Dr. Slack, founded Riverview Dental, and I’ve been a primary fixture of the family here since 2010. After studying Multicultural Education in college and serving in the Peace Corps in West Africa (where I met my husband!), I moved back home to Columbus to raise our three daughters. #GirlMom
I love international cooking, speaking French, and hip-hop dance fitness. I’ve also become a voracious reader in recent years, so please talk to me about your favorite books! My favorite part of the job is working with our patients—some of whom have literally watched me grow up. I strive to cater to your individual needs and ensure that Riverview is always a fun, welcoming place to be.
Jessica Stevens, RDH

Hi, I’m Jessica! I’m a proud Buckeye through and through. I graduated from The Ohio State University with honors in Dental Hygiene and even went back for a second degree in Nursing.

When I’m not in the office, I’m usually keeping up with my husband and our two busy toddlers. We love being part of the Columbus community and staying active as a family. One fun fact about me: I am a total hot sauce connoisseur. If you ever need a little extra spice for your lunch, just ask - I almost always have some in my purse!

Taylor Amspaugh, CDA
Certified Dental Assistant
Hi, I’m Taylor! I’ve been a Certified Dental Assistant for 13 years, having earned my dental certification in 2013 after completing my Associate of Science at Cincinnati State, where I also attended on a full-ride soccer scholarship.

What I love most about dentistry is helping people feel truly confident in their smiles. Whether we are whitening, straightening, or providing restorative care, I love being part of that transformation. I’m a naturally easygoing person and pride myself on being able to connect with just about anyone who sits in my chair.

When I’m not at the office, I’m usually watching sports, trying out new local Columbus restaurants, or catching up on the latest anime with my partner! :D
Erika Stowers
Insurance Coordinator
Hi, I’m Erika! You’ll usually find me acting as the office comedian alongside Jessica. I’ve been in the dental field for three years now, and I genuinely love using everything I’ve learned to help our patients navigate their care. I strive to make every visit as smooth and stress-free as possible.

My favorite part of the job? I love the challenge of fighting those big insurance companies to ensure you get every bit of the coverage you deserve.

Outside of the office, I’m usually out on a nature walk with my family, cozying up for a nostalgic movie night (80s and 90s thrillers are my go-to!), or baking homemade desserts to satisfy my sweet tooth!
